Work, Virtual Office and Carrying On with the Map

I’ll keep it short today, it’s late already. Not much to report: a so-so day at work that left me very little time to do anything, but at least I got to tweak a little program I made for the office, the one that lets my colleagues pick their seat when they come into the building in person. You can see a picture here:

Pixel-art virtual office seen from above: rows of desks with monitors and chairs on a floor of light tiles. Some spots show a circular photo of the colleague who has booked them; others are decorated with balloons, a candle, a plant and a present.

I’ve also carried on with a bit more of the map I’m working on; there’s still plenty left, but I’ve got one more room now, Oda’s, one of the characters in the Berlin in Darkness campaign. A small step forward, but at least it was good for something.

Top-down map of the upper floor of the dockside warehouse, now with one more room: bedrooms, a library, a kitchen and an armory spread across the corners, around the large central bay divided by partition walls, with the dock and the water at the edge.

I wasn’t able to make any progress on the new chapter of the novel because I started work early, and that worries me: I’m finding it hard to get back into a rhythm. But it isn’t something I can control either, so for now it’ll have to do.
